A cherry tree

I took this photograph recently while on a walk. I particularly like the way the light filters through areas of the foliage capturing different tonal qualities. I would hope to translate this piece in to a drawing in the near future as I find the form and colour lend themselves quite naturally to my style of drawing.

These two photographs document a drawing that I recently sold from my portfolio at the degree show.

These photographs depict some of the pieces I displayed as part of my work for the degree show. Using a combination of print, hand-embroidery and appliqué I have tried to capture the different qualities of nature.
