Fabric, Stitch and Paper

I am currently in the process of compiling together a range of techniques which I hope to use to create pieces of interest in a new project. I have tried to explore a variety of processes which will describe the range of marks I depict in my drawings. I have quite the pile of exciting bits and bobs now which I hope to utilise soon. This particular image shows a small area of hand-embroidered detail with fabric and paper collage.

This drawing uses different densities of marks to create a sense of depth and character. It is part of a wider composition in which its counterparts appear iscolated on a vast and derelict landscape.
